Anyone know anything about Alcoholics Anonymous?

A couple months ago someone posted something about AA on Crossfire saying how much it had helped him. Where is that person? I notice that someone else tried to shoot him down saying that AA was controlling and cultic. I can't believe that and IMO there's not a lot out there that compares to AA and has the same success rate.

Maybe AA lays down the rules but you have to to get results. It's called tough love. And it seems that a lot of ex-members drink heavily and are alcoholic probably because of the experiences they went through. Jeremiah Singer died of it and I heard his life was pretty chaotic as a result of alcohol. There are lots of others.

Mr. Pro-AA exmember, if your still out there, post, OK? Or anyone who's knowledgable about AA, tell me more about it. Alcoholism is a pretty big problem in the exer community and we need to talk about it.
