The point is that some people were more or less affected by their involvement with the cult, not the same. Anybody can help anybody else as they see fit and desire regardless of whatever but putting everybody under the same roof when they don't belong is not right.
Nobody has said that there are differences in suffering and pain, it is all the same when we hurt, and a very personal thing. The problem is trying to define need as we are talking about by the amount of pain one currently has even if it is not as a result of their involvement with the cult.
If we were talking about all people who in general, that would all be fine and dandy, even the Christian or social minded thing to do (whichever preference one may have). But we are not. At least that's what I thought but I may be wrong.
