Look what happens, I'm gone for a day and the place explodes. It took me a half hour to catch up on all the posts. Some of you guys are pretty darn funny. Daniel - my hubby thinks you should post that picture you have!
Ironsides, I finally got to reading your post. You have really gained some clarity in the whole situation and I'm glad your pumping it out. Thank you for posting that here.
Last night I went into town for my 17 yr old son. He was going to the prom with a girl from the church, he's a junior and she's a senior, but they are pretty close in age. He looked so handsome, I was just shocked. I can't believe it, if only his father could see him. What a pity, no father to beam with pride and offer him advice. Thankfully, another family from the church has kind of taken him under their wing and he worked odd jobs at their place to pay for his tux and flowers. My daughter drove them around in my car since he still doesn't have a license or a car. It's time like these that are bitter sweet for me. Three of my kids don't know who their father is and they are doing amazingly well in spite of it, but it's still so wrong. At least in the way it happened. The second son was telling me the other day, if only my dad could be here to witness and be proud of all my accomplishments, but no, he's with his other family "serving the Lord" in some far off field thinking we're all systemites. It's just wrong what has happened to the kids. Sorry to end on this note, but it's what I've been thinking about today.
