Unfortunately, with a lot of Family members, especially those who are presently happy and in a satisfying relationship, or in a positon of leadershit, the ruse will work. They will steadfastly prepare for what they hope is the 'empty wind' ahead and will walk around the Home grinning and masturbating, saying, "Isn't it great to be in the Family?"
Who WILL get curious, however, are the Family members who've had just about enough of the insanity. Some of them are only staying in for the lifestyle and don't believe the mailings. But they like the sex and believe the lie that if they leave they'll have to cruise AIDS-infested bars to find a bed-partner. (Not. What a lie.) Or maybe they want to leave but don't feel confident enough to find a paying job, so while they bide their time they blow ballons, wash cars and keep wondering what freedom would be like. Those, thank God, are the kind of people going to the ex-member board sites and looking for the truth.
I mean, of all the jokes, to tell thinking, senstive human beings that their brothers and sisters who simply left a spiritually corrupt, oppressive and hypocritical group to find freedom that the ex-members are demons dripping with blood.
Why not be honest and confess that Daniel and other SGAs simply asked Peter and Maria for accountability on abuse they, the SGAs, suffered, and want action. And Pete and Mary don't want to admit they're wrong. In their excessive pride they feel "holding their kingdom" together means trying to promote some kind of infallible image. A whole load of crap, like Jesus told the self-righteous religious leaders of HIS day. The Pharisees are just wearing new clothes, and instead of tithing mint and cummin, they're masturbating and prophesying.
Helllllooooooo? Earth calling Pete and Mary!! Hello??
