Documenting COG history

There is a need for writers to help with our history section. Reading the comments below about documenting our collective history, I wanted to slip in this request:

As you can see in our history section, we got as far as setting up a framework - a basic skeleton with hardly any meat on it.

Perhaps you could write about an era you are familiar with? I can string it together into the timeline.

Don't worry about your writing skills (most people who post here are great writers anyway), or if someone else is overlapping or duplicating your effort, since the more wording/info I get the better, and I can compile the info into one document.

You will of course be given credit for your contributions.
