I look at being a parent with a kid or adult child/family still in the family as completely comparable to "Not Without My Daughter". The sad thing is that even when a person does visit, they have to be very careful, even more careful because their own relatives are taught that their mothers and fathers and g-parents are "outsiders" and "not their REAL family". I think the abuse of breaking apart husbands and wives and mothers and fathers and children is EQUALLY abusive as the sexual abuse that went on. It is all absolutely horrific. If i had a child in, (I don't now), but if i did it would be so hard to see that fake personality or beat down one. But I would think that every visit is a chance for the parents to let their loved ones know they are still there. For the ones who can. Maybe someday. There are some very touching poems from mothers and others who have had to leave children or loved ones behind. nothing GOOD is behind the "Family" cults control.
