The get-togethers had not died out. They were happening with regularity, almost every year, though I remember there was one year without one. Miriam's web page was very good, it looked it would go on forever. Yes I am saying that the whole thing was in ex-member's hands before Barney stepped in. He had the organization, and the people and the time, logistics. At the last meeting I remember people like Big Josh, Cancion and I think George living right in the middle of it to go to Barney's. Sharon was upset because they had put up money to rent the campgrounds and it was important that enough people came so she can break even. We each paid aroung $50. As soon as I got there they were talking about Barney, telling me that he knew that Sharon's meeting was going to happen then, but did his at the same exact time anyway. I can't say it was a planned move from his part to take over, but he has.
I has been Barney's era since then, and it has been a mixed bag. Sam Ajemian
