I read below a few comments about Faithy's initiative in Siberia and I still don't have it quite clear but when I asked myself how important that is to me, I can't really say. What do I care that John Jones just joined the joint? I would feel sorry but how can that affect my life? Am I a champion to fight just such personal decisions made in their everyday life?
I realize that it is Faithy's decision to do as she pleases with her own little pitiful life (does it sound like I don't like her?) but if I let her life dictate my own views of the world I am letting her control me once more. The only things that ever impressed me about her were her lack of luster and superlative ego. On the other hand, that is what takes to go in the front of a pack - and a pack she had (and still has for what I hear).
I suspect that I am not alone thinking along these lines, so why is it that whenever her name comes up many of us rush up to get in the fray?
The answer might be that many of us feel that she owe us, as several posts below mentioned. It seems that a bunch us feel that something is owed to us; if not an apology, at least an explanation and dialog rather than a cold shoulder and silence. She might end up being a winner. We have had so much person-to-person contact that just a one day experience in our like is probably more than many people have in their whole life. Out of all people, we are very well suited to understand human nature.
She is not the only one who would benefit from acting this way, others might too. Expecting such a thing from Peter and Maria is ridiculous but not from the many who are still part of The Family. I am sure that when I left, many people whom I loved dearly felt guilty for my departure. I am also sure that many people might have felt betrayed by me at some point. Wouldn't it be wonderful to allow them closure as they approach their demise from this world?
How much of this will be possible and real? I write these things here because I know Family members read these posts and contrary to their leaders might see reconnection as not a bad idea after all. I don't expect the big time leaders to even consider this for a second but some rank and file might - if they get the news. Time will tell.
As far as Faithy, I hope and pray for her own good that she comes clean at some point in her life, meanwhile the only power she has on me is to incite pity. Oh how the mighty have fallen.
