So true Acheick! Though I can honestly say that the years I spent in the fam were not a total waste, I do harbor some regrets. I feel this everytime I see my friends who have come so far in the world, who have done so much for themselves and their families. Yes I often feel like I'm playing catch-up. Since leaving I found myself cramming so much into my schedule, diving into busy-ness, overcompensating for lost time. So much so that I missed out on the most important thing I should have done first, to take care of myself. To do things for myself, and not just for others, and in the process uncover the real me. Thank God it's never too late. I am in that process now. It is a wonderful feeling to finally "know thyself".
