Carol, if you truly grew up in the Family, I for one would very much like to hear your story and be a support to you. We're here to help each other. As for Miriam's book, yes most of us here have read it.
The confusion myself and others have is that we're left with the feeling after reading your article that you're posing as a Family member, had took someone else's article on adolescent sexual experimentation and simply added some COG-ese to make it sound like a Family tale. If so, humor and parodies are fine so long as everyone understands that's what they are.
You certainly have a right to your views on your own sexual experiences, but if you were actually a Family member, tell us more about yourself personally and what you experienced growing up in the COG. We were all there for 15, 20, 25 years and know it's groupthink and experiences inside-out. If anyone would understand you, we would.
