I like that quote by Mark Twain. I agree with him. I don't identify with any religion. I don't disrespect peoples beliefs unless they cross lines that are universally sick, like advocating sexual abuse, incest, etc. (i.e. the family). When it comes to radicals, I think radicals have been the forefront for either positive or negative societal changes. This subject to interpretation. Life would be boring if there were no radicals. Mother Theresa was a radical advocate for the poor and their care. She was universally accepted as a positive force for positive change. Some people are considered radical for being involved in advocating for freedom from torture, mentally, physically and emotionally brutal regimes..enter "Amnesty International". Some push for the deconstruction of the family. Hurray!!! another postive example of radicalism. But society would be very chaotic if everyone were "radical". So, whether balance is something you see while passing from one side of the scales to the other, or you stand right in between, or you disassociate yourself and retreat to the mountains with a few friends and nature, isn't it great to have choices? Real ones?
