That can't have been easy to tell. But I am glad that this is now on record here. Stories like yours need to be told. This is Berg's legacy. This is the fruit of the Family's ideas that they were going to raise all these untarnished endtime witnesses. This is the fruit of their maltreatment and abuse.
I was so saddened and upset I couldn't even write a reply for awhile. It is terrible, what the group has been able to do to the minds of once normal healthy functioning people. They turn them into zombies following orders. Their personalities are drained out (or shut down) and replaced by Bergism. You may recall, that Berg said there was nothing wrong with brain-washing as long as "God" (Bergism, really) did it. But really, I don't see anything Godly about the inhuman behavior of some people in the Family.
Your mother probably told herself not to grieve because he was in heaven and all that stuff. And it was confirmed through those prophecies too, yeah right...
God, I can't possibly imagine what it was like for you to know and feel what you do and confront this freakish behavior in your own flesh and blood family.
You must have amazing control, to tread so carefully between taking action to help your siblings, and trying not to go too far confronting them, in order to maintain an open link and communication.
The tragedy of it all is that someone like you is unable to leave it all behind and not deal with it for a day, or a week. You cannot stop dealing with the Family until you help your siblings to safety, and even then, you are lucky if you can stop. Severe trauma and abuse is something you deal with all your life. I speak as a formerly severely abused child (no, my parents were not in the COG).
The whole idea of setting up this site was to empower people just like you, with information and real life resources, aid, etc. We are just starting out, and a lot of things aren't in place yet. But know this, that we will do what we can to help. That is why we are here in the first place.
