This is my personal favorite of their slew of get-me-out-of-this-jam lie/deception/skirting the issue statements: "I said I'm sorry for all the bad things that happened and there is nothing more I can do about it, God has told me to go on and so should you." What can you say against that? Now all their personal responsibility is forgiven and they no longer have to deal with it. What I say to that is: That doesn't automatically soothe the damage that was done or heal the wounds. Nor does it mean they do not have to deal with it anymore, the effects are lasting and do not go away because of a half-hearted apology.
