Yeah, like "Squeaky Fromme"... I was thinking about something I read on another board regarding defense of Zerby (Maria) and whether or not there was any proof of her actually physically or sexually engaging in abuse... I think of Charles Manson. He was not on site when the LaBianca or Tate and others murders occurred, but he was the leader of the group, the master manipulator and was sentenced to death as were the followers caught regarding the actual killings. Legally speaking, if anyone were to file a class action lawsuit against Maria and Peter, they have more than a leg to stand on. I wonder if Amnesty International has references to lawyers? There have to be burgeoning law firms to represent those who were sexually and physically abused within a religious cult or group now that Jehovahs Witnesses and the Catholic Church have been held accountable, at least to some degree. The difference with the family is huge. Their doctrines are (or have been) sexually oriented and sexual and physical abuse were encouraged and committed and there are many many victims who have every right to take that to court. I hope they do.
