If you re-read SGA Daniel's letter to Maria and leadership you get the distinct impression that that's where things are headed.
But I don't think Maria and Peter will ever go to prison. They have huge reserves ("nothing is too good for God's servants") in banks and gold to tide them over so they can hide out in South America or Asia somewhere the rest of their miserable lives. It's all the little guys and lower-level leaders without money who will be caught and made to answer.
But is that new? The rank and file disciples have always been there to take the blame while the top leaders fled the country.
