I know that Berg was at TSC in the summer of 70, but he left sometime early in the fall of that year. He wrote letters shortly after, and then the Mo letters started. I can see how things get mixed up because it is hard to sum up years in a few paragraphs. I didn't see anything about Tenerife,Canary Is. in the post from what Bithia was quoted on, and since the question was about the early days, I was thinking back further. Were you at Zion when it closed and most everyone went to the mosquito park?
