I really don't like to kill animals - including the snakes out here - they eat the rats and mice.
If I were to find one in the yard I would move it out.
My son Matt shot a rattler a couple of years ago and I roasted it but it got a little to charcoally. A long time ago I shot a huge monster Texas grandaddy rattler which we bbq'd. It tasted pretty good. I don't know exactly how to describe it, but we put LOTS of bbq sauce on it.
