Well spoken Donny,
As there is a bigger turn-over here on these Boards than can be seen superfiscially. People need to get a few things out, udnerstand a few things, and then the majority surely do get on with their lifes and try to start over again, as you say.
So what I am really talking about is the hardcore exers who make a life out of fighting the past and the Family, and if you have been around long enough, you would know who I am talking about.
They will go over the same topic a thousand times and have absolutely no new insights about the problem or have a clue about the solution.
And you are right about a TIME OUT PERIOD being needed for almost all of us that have left. It takes time to get our hearts and minds and spirits together again. The time varies, but again I am talking about those that have for literally decades stayed in the same negative frame of mind, and want to LEAD in the fight in persecuting. The perceution factor among the exers is there greatest sin IMO. The temporary posters aren;t usually into this, but the hardcores want revenge and notariety for such actions. But there is no glory in the defeat of your enemies when your enemies are at least trying in some way to spread the gospel.
So Yes, Donny, temporary posting is good and evn good for our souls to release what has been stored up, but the leaders of the exers are just as bad as the leaders of the family. Both have gone to the extreme and both are pretty brain-washed.
But I shall repeat we were suppose to join the Family to serve the Lord, if you weren;t born into the family, which is a whole different scenario as the Lord doesn;t have second generation Christians and everyone must choose, and we can;t force our kids to adopt any belief system that they don;t truly believe in. It just doesn;t work.
So the saddest part about the majority of exers, Donny which I discovered on-line is that they didn;t join the Family or COG to serve the Lord. Their motivations were free food, group atmosphere, leadership power, sex, or whatever but it wasn;t for the Lord. Yet a few did join for the Lord and for those FEW, they surely can't make any excuses for not somehow , someay continuing to serve the Lord and others. If its in your heart do it.
I and we are still missionaries, we can;t get away from it, and doing it on-line much more than wjen we were doing it daily in the streets, and still we long for that as well, and away from the madness of the West and their wars and greed and selfishness, Ha and their in-fighting..
Got to go... Won;t start yup a new thread, but always tend to finnish what I start.
All the best Donny, even without jesus because he has never lost one of his own and shall surely find you again someday someway, when the timing is right... IMO
