September 25, 1979, Berg gave the "Shepherdess" talk (ML 837), telling how, after he was gone, Maria would receive his prophetic mantle and lead the Family. A little over a year later, on the night of November 8, 1980, he gave the talk, "The Humble Prophetess". In this revelation, he affirmed that Maria would not only be a Shepherdess, but the Prophetess of God.
