When you get technical, and study the accumulated effects of any ABUSED drug, as I said, that is an entirely different subject. But common sense dictates that the "benefits" of the substance and its derivatives are beneficial to many people suffering neuropathy, lack of appetite due to AIDs for example, Nausea due to Cancer, Pain due to Glaucoma, MS. Marinol is legal and prescribed by doctors already. The supreme court has made a way now for the medical benefits of marijuana (or its active substance THC) to be allowed and furthered. I say GOOD for the supreme court! The benefits are far better than side effects if it suits a persons needs. Addiction is the issue that is of concern. Alcohol addiction is one of the worst. Alcohol consumption for those who can drink socially is not dangerous in most cases. Hot toddies are a good cold REMEDY, unless you are an alcoholic? Do you think maybe here we might be sparring about a non-issue? I am against the isms and their dangers, but some substances have their values. Pot is one.
