Marijuana is not addictive like hard drugs such as heroin or cocain. Some research even shows it is less addictive than caffein.

There are many things that aren't on the market not because of drawbacks, but simply because of predominant governmental policies, commercial interests and taxation problems. You should read up on some historical facts about this.

Remember that only a few decades ago there was the prohibition. Nobody can ever say that alcohol is without drawbacks and yet once control was wrestled out of moonshiners and the government was able to move in and take it's cut, open consumption of booze was allowed again. Are you telling me there are no side effects to long term use of alcohol and it doesn't cause problems or accidents? Are not people suffering from it?

There many natural products such as dandelion wines which can be made easily, but since there is no possibility for government control they are banned.

Marijuana is not even classed as a drug in some countries. There are no (or almost no if I am wrong) documented cases of accidents or acts of violence other serious problems normally associated with alcohol. Marijuana is not only helpful, it is now recommended for people suffering from the side effects of chemotherapy or AIDS treatments.

"Market" isn't the way to determine if there is something wrong or right with a product. TO say that you really don't know much about marketing. (That is the reason why you are probably using a PC and not a Mac, ha!) Jokes aside, whether or not something is on the market may only prove whether or not something is a commercially viable product. Can you imgaine the headaches that could be created if everyone grew their own pot and governments lost billions of $$$$ in revenue?
