You misunderstood or I didn't state it clearly. I didn't say that I want to run off to serve the Lord (as in the Family). I "am" serving the Lord but in a church setting. I like doing this. The things that make me want to run out of the church is when I am asked to help pass the plates for the offering. I know they ask me this because they trust me. I have had to decline because of the anguish it causes me to have my hand out asking for money.
I have read the articles. I have read everything I can get my hands on. I think it's horrible how far off the straight and narrow the Family has become. What I am able to do is see that the Family is made of individual people. Just like the exmember community is made of individuals, each with their own needs, their own story. I really sincerely wish to be a beacon of light for current and exmembers.
I was in the Family from 1975 to 1981. During the FFing, During the RNR and at the start of the child abuse in the Davidito letters.
