I'm certainly not a prude, but I was absolutely shocked at that scene. I guess I wasn't ready for it. I literally just turned the TV on in the hotel room and that's what was on. I thought I had somehow accidentally hit some kind of gay porno button (this was San Francisco). Then I was really shocked when I figured out it was a TV series.
Then, I was kind of freaked out when nobody was talking about it in the media, except to gush over what a great series it is.
When I went to find the URL to show the photo of the actor, I did read that his character was supposed to be 17 years old.
I guess it is a clue about our society in general, and where it is heading.
Showtime is also the only cable network in the US that will show the remake of the film "Lolita".
