Sam, good to hear from you!
I also remember not only the Peter Puppet Letter, but the "confessions" from his wife (also about his children :( after he died. That woman was so traumatized and under such a load of induced terror and guilt. Every single aspect of their life and of the children was put under the lens of the Inquisition-like scrutiny. It was heartbreaking to read her "confession" about her "responsibility" (for what? for having a husband who dies of cancer??) and she and her kids having bad spirits (one of them had a lisp and it was attributed to a bad spirit!) when they should have received plenty of support, encouragement and grief counseling, in a NORMAL, HUMAN environment.
This is one reason why I firmly believe in refreshing memories on history, Mo-Letters and those 'moments' of suppressed screaming conscience. It was under duress, for most of us, but it behooves us to remember and not forget how groupthink, isolation, and dependence can create monsters.
The slumber of reason generates monsters. (A F. Goya quote) This is why the reclaiming of critical thinking is so important in this experience.
