Good faith means that things are above the board and not a way to gain unwarranted advantage. Behavior in The Family as they related to outsiders is sneaky even as they look and sound sincere. It is part of their modus-operandi. As they say, trust a liar to be a liar even when they tell the truth. Sometimes they are themselves deceived, sincerely deceived.
