Unfortunately, Mekka, I think we are all in a postion (through our experience) to understand it only too well. Think about it. We're out now, our eyes are opened and we're fiercely zealous of our rights as people, and upset about abuse.
But a few short years ago, you, I and everyone here saw our children go to Victor Camps, saw husbands and wives separated, families torn apart, thought Berg was the most wonderful man of God. We were in there in a very similar mindset. You can really draw comparisons between women in abusive relationships and those under cult mind control.
Perhaps you never suffered the worst of it in the cult, but it got pretty shitty. Being pinned down for multiple exorcisms, Chinese communist style public shamings and rebuke sessions, physical beating, mental battering, the whole works.
We do understand, Mekka, and I'm sure you do as well. We're just in a VERY different mindset now and want to shout out, "Open your eyes! Don't submit to that!" But they have to open their eyes of their own accord. Just like we had to.
