That's amazing you mention the movie "Shine". Just last Saturday I watched that for the first time with my wife. I got so mad at the guy's father that I was yelling that damned "cult leader", and I got pissed at myself too because I could see how there were parallels to the way our kids were brought up with F-style upbringing.
