Yeah college was good. I was working too hard to enjoy it much. I had two jobs. Two babies. And therapy for the one baby. It was a crazy schedule. I was always having to find babysitters on the spur of the moment because as soon as the baby would have a seizure, another babysitter would quit. They did this in the middle of a work shift. I would have to leave work, go pick up the baby, start making phone calls to see if I could find someone immediately so that I could go back to work. (McDonalds and/or the Library). I went to college 2 or 3 days out of the week depending on the classes. I arranged my work schedules around each semesters class and around the therapy sessions for the baby. I was on welfare, trying to get off.
Bow Wow Wow was this wild group from England with a young girl singer Annabella. She was outrageously young, something like 14 years old, the first time I saw them. She could really belt out a song. One time she shaved her head. It was the first time I ever saw a girl do that. This was the era of slam dancing in the clubs. I hated slam dancing but would stand right up next to a wall trying to avoid getting smashed by all the crazy slamming bodies, just to hear the band play. They had only one hit "I want candy." Sometimes I hear versions of the song in commercials.
