I ran into the Hare Khrisna in L.A. before the family and was rather cynical at that time towards any religion. This was prior to the f. I remember asking this one girl in the Khrisna's why they didn't eat hamburgers. She said that for every animal that died, and you ate their meat, you would have to come back as that animal and die like they did. I asked her then: Man, does that mean that COLONEL SANDERS IS GOING TO HAVE TO COME BACK AS A CHICKEN,AND DIE LIKE A CHICKEN FOR EVERY CHICKEN THAT HE HAS HAD KILLED? She said yes. Poor colonel sanders. Now that is an eternity of chicken hell! hahahaha
I do remember in the early days there was a lawyer named Abel (I think that was his bible name..?) who joined and worked for the family with his legal skills. His wife also joined just because she did not want to be separated from her husband or something like that. It was one of those special allowances, because he was so useful. She was said to be saved via her husband since she came along with him even tho she didn't believe in the family or jesus (or maybe just the family brand of jesus). That's the only case I saw of this sort in the family. But the topic does ring a bell...
I do remember some letter around 1973 I think where "Mo" talked about everybody eventually being saved. Personally, I am not Christian or any religion. so, I don't care. But I thought the Khrisna story was a funny one... Col.Sanders and Mr. MacDonald will have hell for eternity as cows and chickens at the slaughterhouse, according to the Khrisna lady's comments.
