GenX is back up - a clarification

It seems it was down for some unknown reason. So, here we are again.

Oh, and BTW, to those who think we here are trying to drum up activity by instigating fights, that couldn't be any further from the truth. I noticed that an administrator of another site made this accusation on his site specifically about Exfamily. Therefore, I want to set the record straight so that kind of rumor mill will not continue.

Actually, this board is secondary to the whole plan of this site and our main thrust is on the articles, expose of what and who the COG/FOL really are and reader participation. The BB is merely here in case some people want to talk about whatever. We are not interested in having millions of hits, encouraging people to tear at each other verbally, thereby getting more hits with a Jerry Springer atmosphere, or trying to garner some kind of income to pay for the cost of the site or our time. We don't care if this board is dead half the time and Acheick is talking to herself! ;)

The fact that a lot of dialogue was generated because of another administrator's particpation and discussion about their site is of no consequence to us. That is not our agenda and serves us no purpose except to detract from our original purpose. In fact, we repeatedly asked posters to refrain from that discussion and to take it to the appropriate parties involved which I do believe they did and it appears to be carrying on quite actively on that administrator's site and no doubt they are getting all the hits they like and often without even the administrators here participating.

I hope that this will clear up any confusion and missinformation that is being passed on as fact but is really only one person's or one group's perception. I repeat, not one of the administrator's here purposely planned to start up a verbal storm in order to get more hits. That is an outlandish statement and may be the practice of some other administrators, but no one on exfamily operates in that fashion. I can be a witness to that fact.
