Often, questions are asked in the style of "when did you stop beating your wife?". Peppered with an accusatory tone, and an aspect of presumption of wrongdoing.
Most individuals, or even professional Corporations, when approached like this will become defensive.
My suggestion is that if anyone here has questions, that they ask them, but frame them as questions, not accusations with a question mark tied to the end.
When I was a guest at Laurelhome, I did take the opportunity to question some of the people living there. I also asked Barney a number of questions about the structure of the home.
I was told that he holds non-profit status as an organizatiobn called "Heart to Heart Ministries".
I also am aware that there have been numerous visits to LH by various authorities, who I would assume have verified that the home operates within the law.
His recent move to a new neightborhood, has also caused attention from neighbors and various authorities, who I am sure are investigating his right to operate as we type.
HOWEVER... as a non-profit corporation, Heart to Heart Ministries operates free of Federal Taxes. So, if you pay taxes, you contribute to the Ministry (by paying their share of taxes). You have a right to an answer to any question you may have.
