Have you heard about that 275 lb man in Brooklyn suing MacDonald's, Wendys and Kentucky Chicken cause he says false advertising, not saying all the fat and MSG in their food, made him obese and get diabetic?
It's true fast food is not only expensive but just plain not good for you. Once a week, OK, but more than that careful. Better to cook at home and eat at home. But if your sons are burning pots that's not gonna work. You idea of cooking one meal, chile, then eating it for days is good.
When I quit the Family, I was so out of it I had to stand reading the instructions of how to cook cheese noodles. And when I did cook them, I ate them right out of the frying pan at the stove, without sitting down. Sheeesh. I was like an animal. One step lower than that and I'd have eaten raw antelope on the savannah.
