that there is a resource board here, so if people from any city, state, country can investigate what is available for what groups (men, women, families, long-term, residential, emergency, waiting list resources etc. This board can be a powerful springboard! There are many places that charge nothing. All have rules and requirements to keep their environments safe. (i.e. from drugs,crime, or to make the atmosphere therapeutic vs. chaotic and non-productive.) A good person to gather info. from would be a social worker at a county MHMRA or health facility. Also, Women's Centers. In Houston there is the Houston Area Womens Center. More detailed info to come Mon. I hope that others in other locations investigate and add on! Joseph, you may know of some, and I do think your post helped to spur this along.
