Berg's problem was that he didn't believe in repentence. He didn't believe there was such a thing as sin. The only 'sin' in Berg's eyes was when you didn't believe in HIM. Berg had no morals. He thought a person could do anything they wanted to do. As long as you didn't have a guilty conscience about it, it was okay. If you did have a guilty conscience about something then you were just 'weak.'
