I was living in a small town of less than 1000 people in a "selah" unit. My uncle was the town's physician and, as one would suspect, well known. John Soother, the "shepherd" (or leader, book keeper, whatever) told me that Faith and Juan had told him I couldn't visit my family in the nearby bigger town (with millions of people).
At the same time, I was also told that it was OK for my wife, two children and I to go for walks in town - where we would constantly be at about one degree of separation from my uncle and cousins.
If they (the super dupper enlightened leaders)were ever able to see the contradiction, they were more interested in keeping me down and showing me who was the boss. If they didn't see the problem, even when I told them I had run into my cousins... hmmm, enlightened leaders?
