Of course, it is important to separate the organization from people who are members of the organization.
It is difficult to get into specifics on the public boards, because some things are told to me in confidence.
But, I will tell you that I have noted a desire to help the SGA's amoung certain members that I have contact with. However, I have also noted a lack of support for those ideas from the organization itself.
I believe that the organization looks at itself as a collector of money, not a distributor. When members come up with ideas, it would appear that they have to find ways to make it fly. Here in the US, they can't even go to FCF to get funding anymore, so they are on their own.
So, nothing much happens.
My main observation is that the organization doesn't even help its own members, many of whom are living in trailer parks at or below the poverty level. Instead, these people are looked to as a support vehicle for the organization. They go out clowning and ballooning to raise cash to send upstairs while eating provisioned food.
That's why I think that the idea that the Family is suddenly going to do anything for SGA's, who are in fact Ex-Members, is far fetched. That is, unless someone forces them to do it via legal action or unwanted publicity.
I think that any real relief will have to come from the ex-member community. That may seem unfair, but hell could freeze over while we are all waiting for the world (or the Family) to become fair.
