It is so sad to hear this type of report. Not too much difference from the way the muslims treat their women. Totally subservient. It only seems to get worse with time. The only thing that will get her out of that situation is her own decision that she has taken enough crap - and you know how hard that can be and how long it can take.
The rumor is that people in the cult are actually not allowed to have normal conversations with each other, let alone visitors - as it's considered "vain babbling." Maybe they just forget how to converse after awhile.
My kids who are now FMers are exactly the same. As soon as you even get close to something controversial they clam up or get really pissed off or both.
