Can you tell us how they got scholarships and were able to go to these prestigous schools? Some of my children wanted to go to art school but couldn't because they expected me to take out a loan and I couldn't afford to. Also, one of my daughters is going to a university and has to take out loans even though she gets grants and scholarships. It's very hard on them.
I can relate to your story about God doing something nasty if we left the F. Everything I that went wrong in my life for a long time I thought was God judging me. Even though I rationlized it away, it was still there under the surface eating away at me. Then there was this earthquake in L.A. and I told my soc professor how the F. had conditioned me to think that it was God judging the wicked. He gave me a little pamphlet he had done up (wish I still had it) where it gave statistics how all these earthquakes and wars are nothing new and have been going on forever - and it went on to debunk all these doomsday prophecies. It was excellent and helped me soooo much.
