Not bothersome at all. I fully understand your desire for anonymity, as well as its usefulness. I was merely pointing out the existence of double standards in society. One for the individual, another for various others concerned. For Bob, for example, anonymity is considered "naughty" by you, where for yourself, or various others, it is to be considered commonplace.
It obviously depends on the perspective.
This brings us back to the justification for lying and exaggeration, another form of lying, in marital situations, and other highly charged emotional atmospheres. There is a lot at stake, so the individual takes license with the truth in order to achieve the end considered appropriate and just in his or her own mind. This is perhaps why particular accusations of rape are closely examined, or should be, in some situations. In a situation of heightened emotions, one may find the charge suitable and convenient for punitive purposes against a spouse one wishes to harm, for any particular reason.
Of course, I am only speaking hypothetically, but with the recognition that such cases do exist.
It is best not to be ruled by one's emotions when dispensing justice.
Thank you for your time. I don't usually come here. I merely wanted to propose an interjection to the subject matter.
