One thing is to have conversations and quite another is to have mandates. Personal communications were considered selfish or "out of the spirit". In general it was not "constructive" to talk about personal issues either so communications were mainly for "official" purposes serving the interests of the group. There was some sort of inherent reward in being addressed directly by some one at a higher position in the hierarchy.
This type of communication doesn't appeal to many of us now who might have gotten used to freedom of speech and of thought. We shrug the idea of creating clones who think alike. The Family promotes that cloning of the mind as if what they had to offer was good. The little good they had was Christianity and have been successfully been busy diluting it and creating a new empire of darkeness.
We can at least attempt to help some by looking at the roots of our participation and see if we can also participate in the healing of many.
