Very good points Marina I think. You have raised some sad truths about the impact of abuse. You help me to take a moment to honour those who are no longer with us or hurting. Thanks
I was very fortunate in that the Catholic church had to pay for my therapy. Many, many of my fellow victims died trhough suicide, drugs and violence. For them it was too late. A piece of me remembers them and tries to honour who they were as kids, before the veil of tears and sorrow fell upon their childhood. In their passing I know they were not the men they had hoped to be and their sorrow took them from us all.
Therapy should happen for those who need it. I hope somehow this could happen or we as an exer community learn how to help each other as a support group or something. In NOMSV I see the support groups work very well in filling the gap in some ways. It is not true therapy from a clinical standpoint but it sure is enriching and therapeutic in its practice. For many it is the only access to support available.
Thanks for you insight!
