How horrible. For all intents and purposes you have moved on. However, I believe these things stay with us for all our lives, how could they not? Do we not have memories? This whole moving on thing is getting old. Is it another way of looking down on someone? Oh, I've moved on, obviously you haven't yet. It's very clear in your last statement that yes, you have moved on, but no it hasn't left you. I don't think any of us can expect it to completely leave us as if it never happened. I believe I've moved on, I live a normal everyday life like anybody else, yet I still need to talk about it, sometimes, with someone. It's just helpful.
