I view myself as a Christian, but I don't think I view the bible quite like you do. In fact, I probably have a completely different perspective than anyone I know. I don't think that's the problem. I think the problem stems from the way religion/bible/christianity was piped to us by Berg. But let's not forget that berg didn't dream these things up by himself. Most of his stuff and his bible theories and portrayels were often deeply rooted in his partriarchal upbringing. Think 50s bible-based conservatism. He thought he was rebelling but in actuality he kept most of it in place except for the sexual perversions which he happily added to. So, any smacking of that goes over like a lead balloon for me and a lot of exmembers I know. I agree with Rocky in that it could take years even a whole lifetime to sort that out. I believe the person reposted Rocky's post here because there is so much valuable information on abuse from his expertise standpoint. Many of us could make use of that. All that to say there is no stigma to not talk bible or religion here, but, yes, I do agree with you that you should provide an abestos suit for yourself, tee-hee. We are not xfire but we are quite voiciferous.
