I'm really glad to hear how things are shaping up. I certainly hope it all works out for the better. I'm glad to hear that he may not have such a long sentence and the fact that he misses you all is very encouraging. Hopefully, that will be enough to get him to straighten his life around. I hear you on the "getting too old for this stuff" syndrome. But, parenting never ends, even when they move out and have a family, you still have to be there for them and worry about them (well, maybe you don't have to, but we want to).
