Hi Jude, hope you are well! Don't even worry about the comfort thing it is an honour to share this space with you and all our fellow exers. A vet is a vet and worth caring about, that is my belief on how it should be. We all spent enough time disaproving ourselves in the family.
It is OK to talk these things out I think. We all dived in different ways to cope with the Bergular explosion that ripped us all up in our hearts. I remember when I was even afraid to doubt because I thought God would just kill me. I have lots of views on heaven and hell too but don't know for sure exactly what is right.
Sometimes I feel the presence of the Lord and sometimes I don't. I do, however, believe he is there and will help us to get back the years that the locusts have stolen from us all. He is even able to make a crooked path like me straight!
