Mike,
in my family we do very poorly in fall and winter. My son has complex PTSD and a chronic severe depression and I and my 2 daughters also have PTSD and depression. Fall and winter are definitely some of the worst periods to be in. In the future I could never consider settling down in an area where there is not enough light and sunshine most of the year. It just compounds too much what we have to deal with.
Have you tried full spectrum lights and lots of mirrors?
