Note that I used the word PROFESSING "Christian". That a person or group goes by the name Christian, does not make them a Christian indeed. We covered all of this YEARS ago. When I used the word pagan, my meaning was a person or group that OUTWARDLY does not acknowledge the God of the Bible, or, a heathen. Gary and Zerby's beliefs and doctrines are pagan to the core, yet they PROFESS to be Christians. This is what Jesus Christ identified as WOLVES IN SHEEP CLOTHING. You call them closeted pagans. I get your meaning, but strictly by definition they are not "open" pagans. Identifying a pagan is an easy task, while identifying a REAL Christian is not so. Christs' parable of the wheat and tares confirms this( Matthew 13.) He also WARNED that MANY "Christians" would come IN HIS NAME and that they WOULD DECEIVE MANY (Matthew 24:3-5). Why so? Because the tare will look, talk, and act exactly like the wheat. But you are right, when the F became overtly pagan in both doctrine and practice, they should have been able to deceive only the fool into believing they were Christian. Now what does that say about us? Anyway, there is MUCH MORE DIFFICULT Christian covering to overcome.
If you want to do some really serious brainstorming, attempt to penetrate the parables of Jesus Christ.
