Live and let live, etc.

I notice on the board that some feel it is not a positive or loving thing to keep on attacking the past by slaming the family or Berg. Others say let he who is without sin cast the first stone or let the past be the past. Others say that there are many brothers and sisters trying to serve the Lord in the family. We should appreciate them. I agree we should love and care about each other for sure.I also think I could go along with this if it was merely a case of strong doctrinal disagreements or conflict over radical liberal beliefs.

The fact of the matter is that Berg was a criminal pedophile with a long history of sexual and physical abuse of others. In addition he taught and encouraged the family membership to sexually abuse children which they themselves did and taught others to do. This is a fact that is continuing to be supported by more and more evidence. The SGA's, our children, have suffered horrible abuse and anguish as a result of Berg's doctrines. Maria and Peter have continued this trend and refuse to repent of their evil.

Do any of you really want to support this movement by skirting around the issue of sexual abuse of children by the family? Do you think we all are absolved of our responsibility to do what is right under the cover of judge not or things were good in the past? I feel if we do not clearly state our position regarding these facts than we are in essence saying it is alright.

When we talk about how some of what Berg did is OK how does it sit with you to know that he slept with his own children and forced himself on other's children sexually? How would you explain to someone who came to the Lord that some of Berg's stuff is OK but he had sexual intercourse his own children and fantasized about sleeping with his mother. In addition he taught others that child sex, pornography and prostitution were OK as long as it was done in love.

Maybe I have become just an old fart pulling my pants up to my waist and complaining about things full time but supporting any of this seems to me to be ABSOLUTELY FRIGGIN' CRAZY! I think we all need a reality check here as what has occured is a serious crime against our children and the kingdom of God! Anyways have a nice day on the boards!
