I think there is no point in continuing the conversation, since we are talking about 2 different things.
At the moment I see a priority in "feeling sorry" for the victims of Zerby's continued abuses. She has not changed and is still wreaking havoc in her 'kingdom.'
Also, there is big difference between her and me, or her and Acheick. It seems you are not able to see shades of color or degrees of distinction, so you level the field putting everybody in the same category.
I could not compare you to Jeffry Dahmer, Charles Manson, Jack the Ripper, Ted Bundy, etc etc. or even David Berg, but maybe you see you and them as all the same.
From empirical observation it seems "some" people do not change. They can only get caught to make sure others are protected, but they do not willingly change their ways. This is why there is a law enforcement system, even though it has got faults in its functioning.
Such is the story with most pedophiles. Your one size fits all idealism does not take into accounts facts and history. Some people actually choose to perpetrate crimes, and enjoy the feeling. Have you ever been close to one of these people? For how long?
We are not all the same.
