From what I understand, she is not a very good-looking woman and was probably taken in by Berg's flatteries, it fed her ego. She became blind to any hurt she might be inflicting on others. She is hard hearted in that way. She propped up berg and his fantasies of being a prophet. That's why he depended on her so much, she spoon fed it to him and she micro-managed his empire that he built. They are cut out of the same cloth. She was no more abused than a pampered child. She has no excuses. I've seen her kind in the F. and they are still going strong and still "loving" it.
